How it works

The Axero connector indexes the articles, blog posts, wiki pages, and forum threads of your Axero intranet. You can index every space, or only the spaces you list. Each article, blog post, and wiki page becomes one document. A forum thread becomes one document that holds the first post and its replies. Onyx pulls new and changed content every 24 hours by default. You can change this under Schedule. Sync with Axero is not offered. The access type can only be Everyone in Your Organization or Specific Groups.

Setting up

Authorization

Create an Axero REST API key for a user who can view the content you want Onyx to index. Onyx indexes only what that user can see. See Axero’s REST API documentation.

Indexing

1

Connect an Axero account

In Onyx, go to Admin Panel → Connectors and select Axero. Under Authentication Account, select New Axero Account. Enter your site in Axero Base URL, such as https://axero.example.com, and paste the key into API Token.
2

Choose what to index

  • Axero Base URL: The same site URL. Axero’s REST API must be reachable at this address.
  • Spaces (optional): One or more Space IDs. Leave it empty to index every space.
3

Choose who can see the content

Under Document Access, select Everyone in Your Organization or Specific Groups. Specific Groups is available on Onyx Cloud and Enterprise Edition.
4

Create the connector

Select Create Connector. Open Admin Panel → Indexing Status, select the connector, and confirm its first indexing attempt completes.
